Nepal Public Awakening Forum (N-PAF), in collaboration with Fastenaktion Switzerland, successfully organized a three-day training on agroecology for agriculture technicians from all 14 wards of Aathbiskot Municipality. This initiative was part of the ongoing Community Food Security and Empowerment Project.

The training aimed to enhance the technical capacity of participants on various aspects of agroecology, including agroecological practices, the impact of climate change on agriculture, and the relevance of adopting agroecology to address contemporary agricultural challenges.

Facilitation was led by Mr. Prasant Raut, Agroecology Coordinator from Fastenaktion Switzerland, alongside the project coordinator for the Community Food Security and Empowerment Project at N-PAF Mr. Samit Rijal. Through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations, the facilitators highlighted the importance of agroecology and its practices in maintaining human and environmental health, mitigating climate risks and ensuring food security at the community level.

Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn about agroecology and committed to applying the knowledge in their respective wards to benefit local farmers and promote agroecology and its practices.

The training reflects the shared commitment of N-PAF and Fastenaktion Switzerland to empower local communities and enhance food security through sustainable agricultural development.
