A joint monitoring visit of the Community Food Security and Empowerment Program implemented by N-PAF in partnership with Fastenaktion Switzerland was successfully conducted in ward no. 1 and 2 of Aathbiskot Municipality, involving a diverse team of stakeholders from district and municipal level.
The monitoring team comprised representatives from the Agriculture Development Office, Division Forest Office, District Coordination Committee, the Agriculture Branch of Aathbiskot Municipality, ward representatives, as well as a journalist and the president of the NGO Federation of Rukum West.
The visit aimed to assess the program’s progress, its impact on the community, and the effectiveness of its initiatives in enhancing food security and empowering local communities through agroecology. The team engaged with beneficiaries, observed program activities firsthand, and provided constructive feedback to ensure further improvements in implementation.
Stakeholders commended the program for its integrated approach and underscored the importance of collaboration among various sectors to achieve sustainable food security. Insights gathered during the monitoring will inform future strategies and interventions, strengthening the program’s contribution to the well-being of communities by ensuring food and nutrition security.
