A district-level advocacy meeting on agroecology has successfully been held in Rukum West. The event was organized by the Nepal Public Awakening Forum (N-PAF) under the Community Food Security and Empowerment Project, which is implemented in ward no. 1 and 2 of Aathbiskot Municipality in partnership with Fastenaktion Switzerland. The meeting took place at the Agriculture Development Office.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including the head of the Division Forest Office, the head of the Agriculture Development Office, a representative from the Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Office, the heads of the agriculture branches of Athbiskot and Musikot municipalities, and farmer representatives from the District Farmers’ Federation.
The primary aim of the meeting was to raise awareness about agroecology among stakeholders, build a shared understanding, and explore ways to collaborate on agroecology initiatives in the future.
