The Social Welfare Council (SWC), recently monitored the Community Food Security and Empowerment Program implemented by the Nepal Public Awakening Forum (N-PAF) in collaboration with Fastenaktion Switzerland. This program operates in ward no. 1 and 2 of Aathbiskot Municipality.
The monitoring team was led by thematic expert Mr. Sita Ram Luitel, with assistance from Mr. Satya Narayan Mahato of SWC. The evaluation covered the project period from 10 November 2022 to 31 December 2023.
Arranged by the program coordinator Mr. Samit Rijal Kshetree, the team visited the project sites, including nurseries and kitchen gardens. They also reviewed the distribution of fruit plants within the community.
During their visit, the monitoring team interacted with various stakeholders, including community, group members, nursery operators, and local government officials. These interactions provided valuable insights into the project’s impact and effectiveness.
The findings and observations from this monitoring visit will contribute to the continuous improvement and success of the Community Food Security and Empowerment Program.
